The 14th Moscow Vis Pre-Moot took place on February 17–18, 2024, continuing its tradition of helping students improve their skills in international arbitration. This year, the event was held online and brought together 22 teams from countries like China, India, France, the UK, Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, and Russia. Around 70 arbitrators from various parts of the world also participated, sharing their expertise and insights with the students.

Before the Pre-Moot, the Russian Arbitration Center (RAC) and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) organized a joint panel discussion titled «Balancing between Party Autonomy and Institutional Rules». The panel covered topics such as how much freedom and flexibility parties have within institutional arbitration rules, opting out of certain rules, and what happens when there are deviations from those rules. The speakers included Jin Xi, Ekaterina Petrenko, Wu Shaoxuan, and Ekaterina Bubnova, with Dai Wen moderating the discussion.

During the Pre-Moot teams presented their arguments in several rounds, leading to four teams advancing to the semifinals: National Law School of India University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.

The final round featured a competition between Lomonosov Moscow State University and the National Law School of India University. After intense deliberation, the panel of arbitrators—Amel Alaseeri, Dr. Natalia Perova and Dr. Vladislav Starzhenetskiy—declared Lomonosov Moscow State University as the winner of the Pre-Moot.
